Worthington is a small, but very friendly community located in Greene County, Indiana.  Our population is about 1600 nice people, according to the last census (they didn't mention that everyone is nice, but we know).

The town has it's own Police and Fire Departments.  Our Worthington Town Council manages the local government,.  We are also home to the Worthington Elementary and Junior High School, and the Worthington Jefferson Township Public Library.  We also have The Worthington Times, Greene County's oldest newspaper.  The Worthington Post Office is Zip Code 47471.

Worthington is an easy drive from Bloomington (about 25 miles) and Terre Haute (about 40 miles), and we're not too far from Indianapolis (about 65 miles).  That's all 'as the crow flies' - Your milage may vary (slightly).  US 231/State Road 67 runs right through our town.   McCormick's Creek State Park is about 20 miles away, near Spencer.  Shakamak State Park is a bit closer at around 16 miles.  The Town Park is a wonderful place for a family break while you are visiting.

We would be very happy to see you if you are planning a trip in the area.

Here are a few pictures from around the town.
